About this beautiful Organisation
Shree Vihar Sishu Mandiram is a dream of Dr. Adweit charan Dhal and Mrs. Subasini Dhal. They, at the late 80s thought of a school where a child will get all the needs of development physically, mentally and most imporant morally. The idea then spread up with SJSV campus residents and they made a great contribution towards the formation of this organisation. The governing body was formed among the campus residents and decided the house wives of employees of the universities will be appointed as teachers. A room was given by Dr. Jayakrushna Mishra, then a lecturer, in his quarter. The school then sifted to a garage room and following in 1991 it is shifted to a new fully functional block, which was earlier the university's ladies hostel.
Since then it is backed by some good hearted people. The school is highly recognised in every aspects whether it is its student performence, sports, cultural activities and awards. But even though it is far away from its dream. We require your strong support. Thanks
Our Campus
Our school has a beautiful campus. The school is situated in the beautiful natural premises of Shree Jagannath Sanskrit University (SJSV), Puri. The university campus has 100acres of lush green land. There is a mini stadium in the 5acres of land for the physical activities of the students. There is auditarium and prayer hall for the functions of the university, where various functions of School are held by the permission of the university. The campus is situated in the beautiful sea shore of Bay of Bengal.
How we are getting funds?
Mainly the funds of the school based on the donations collected from the guardians and benevolent public. The trust named Bhagabat Seva Pratisthan also proposed to help school from its funds. 8i Creations a webdesigning and software firm of our alumnae (now operating in Orissa and Bangalore) are providing 6% of their profit annually to this school under their CSR program, 8i Social (before 4D Social). The university authorities are also decided to give this school some financial help time to time. The university earmarks portion of its land for this school in its master plan, where the permanent building of the school will be built up.
Our Future Program
The management of the school has an idea to make this school a residential one for the direct supervision of the students and to provide coaching including yoga, pranayam etc.
